Community Engagement
How We’re Involving the Community
We are involving the community in the Biosolids Master Plan by hosting public meetings, listening sessions, and tours of the facility. Our goal is to involve our neighbors, non-profits, businesses, and community members in our planning process so that we can not only treat our wastewater to the highest environmental standards but create a plant that contributes to the values of our community.
We have been and will continue to engage with community members throughout the duration of this project, sharing important project information and seeking feedback on project elements.
Community Advisory Group
We’ve established a Community Advisory Group (CAG) to ensure local perspectives are part of the decision-making process.
The CAG:
Helps set priorities by evaluating potential treatment options
Provides feedback that shapes technical decisions
Guides how we present information to the broader public
Structure and Members
Current CAG members represent community groups, academic institutions, environmental justice advocates, and local organizations.
